“Hi there! I am Ms. Elliott. I attended University of Arizona and majored in elementary education. I love working with kids. One of my favorite parts is the look when something finally clicks and they understand something. Younger students tend to like to learn and explore. This is super beneficial in the classroom environment! A few things about me: I do CrossFit, & I love to stay active! I hope we have an awesome year together!!! :D” – Elliott

I graduated from the U of A in May 2015 with a degree in Literacy, Learning, and Leadership through the college of Education. I have a 10 month old daughter named Charlotte. “I have been with La Paloma Academy Lakeside for 8 years now teaching kindergarten and first grade. I taught for several years substituting, teaching at a Montessori school, and other similar teaching positions prior to my teaching here at Lakeside. I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Arizona and am currently working on my master’s degree in reading and literacy. I was born here in Tucson and have lived here most of my life except for the 6 years my family and I lived in Alaska when I was a child. I have been married for almost 21 years and have three children ages 18, 15, and 10.  I love to dance, read, garden, do yard work, and spend time with my family.  I am looking forward to a fun school year!” – Thies
